Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Gonzalez-Collins is an American-Mexican sportscaster. She hosts SportsNation and is a SportsCenter anchor. She joined ESPN in 2016. She is the daughter of the TV reporter Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta is a native speaker of two languages. Since she was nine years old, her ability to communicate in two languages allowed her to get the job she wanted in Miami as an assistant production for Univision. She divorced her parents soon after and, in 1995, she married a naval designer named Fabio Fajardo. Fabio Fajardo died in 2006 due to kidney cancer. It was during a time of summer when she was with her sibling at Canton Ohio where the older Collins girl had gotten an employment. Antonietta was an incoming senior in high school, but she had a clear idea of her career goals. She visited Mount Union University to determine if they suited her. The campus was stunning as well as offered the level of education she sought. She graduated from school and was went to the University as a media studies major. Mark Bergmann - her professor was also the station manager at WRMU (91.1 FM), where she belonged. Her professor Mark Bergmann inspired her by his love of journalism. He also deeply impacted her.
