Azita Ghanizada

Azita Ghanizada, one of the Afghan American actress in the United States who has appeared in a number of TV shows. Born in Kabul, Afghanistan. Her parents moved to the US where they were granted asylum. Her parents raised her two sisters living in Northern Virginia. Her career on air began with a string of National Commercials. Ghanizada was awarded an honorary award for the role as Chiara, the main character in Laura Neri's 2004 film A Kiss on the Nose. She's appeared in TV shows like How I Met Your Mother and Entourage. Veronica Mars, The Wedding Bells NuMB3RS Bones Psych, and Castle. Recent roles included the sci-fi action movie Blood Shot (2009) and the comedies that are independent You Only Better (2009). Ghanizada began her acting career in 2008 when she was cast member of General Hospital's Primetime spinoff General Hospital. For season two of Nightshift she played holistic doctor Dr. Saira Bastra. Ghanizada starred as Kelly who was a Prada Sales Girl in HBO Entourage from 2009, and was cast as a character in the TV pilot Tough Trade by Weeds creator Jenji Kohn and the executive producer T Bone Burnett.
